Clínica Verde has become a home for Josefa Hurtado, 66, a housewife from a rural community who takes care of a child who has special needs.
It was eight years ago that Josefa first put her health – and the health of her family – in the hands of the Clínica Verde team, in whom she has over the years found support to cope with her chronic diseases, including diabetes.
"Here I feel well cared for and I can have several services at a single point," says Hurtado, when asked why she remains so loyal and committed to Clinica Verde, despite the fact that her community has a health post nearby.
The Clínica Verde team regards patients such as Josefa not as users who represent services, but as individuals who the team welcomes with warmth, supporting their concerns beyond the consultation and clinic walls. It's patients like Josefa who reward us by trusting us with their care and establishing a caring relationship over many years.
