Since 2015, Muwakhat is working with street and homeless children, distributing food, warm clothes, blankets and giving education. It was first time, Muwakhat Foundation have arranged an outdoor Dine-in Food Activity in international brand restaurant for them.
Our Aim is to make a day in their life with peaceful and fun memories.
Our vision is to promote Education and deprived children altogether.
Around 16 kids along with 1 mother have been invited to have a Dine-In Food at KFC with us on 30 October’2020. There was not only food but also we were focused to aware them about how much education is important?After conducting this activity the purpose behind this had been fulfilled. There were many activities rather than this.
Activity 1: COVID-19 Safety Measure
Children have been sanitized before entering the venue KFC Akbar chowk Township, Lahore. They have been given Masks also. Social distancing has been followed in sitting. Through this we have aware them up about Covid-19 and its effects.
Activity 2: Exploration of Future through Dreams
As our major focus ‘’Education is prior’’, we have done a talent hunt activity with these kids. They have been given with Caryons and charts for their brainstorming. They also chose what profession could be better for them in future and what they like to become in future. They have share via visualizations with us about what they want to become in future. That’s how we educate them and hunted the talent among them.
Activity 3: Games
Laughter and Laughter makes more laughter! The sound of satisfaction and visuals of brightest smiles made the delighted environment. Those Priceless Smiles and joys we have witnessed won’t forgettable. Children were enjoying from head to toe. They have played musical chair, and parody. The winners from the games has awarded by gifts in appreciation.
Activity 4: Magic Show
‘’World is full of magic’’, children have enjoyed magic show more than everything. The curiosity they were having about magician and his tricks puts more lights into that event. The pandemic shocks were released when they have experienced magic show. This interest grabbing thing made them free from the stress ties.
Activity 5: Meal Distribution
After all this fun, kids have enjoyed their fried chicken meals a lot. The happiness while eating can be seen from their faces. They are part of us, we believe in Equality!
Activity 6: Goodie Bags
In the End, while going back we have distributed Goodie Bags which includes pencil colors, coloring book, pencil box etc. This results in building their interest in education rather than focusing on child labor.
KIDS SAID:
We are having a lot of fun and very delicious food here, we didn’t go anywhere like this ever, ThankYou! It’s like a dream to us.
Muwakhat Foundation have spent a lot to build trust with them and bring them out from isolation.
WAY FORWARD
We are thankful to our donors and the team. We are seeking for more participation because ‘’Together we make a society’’.
