Jacobo is a 5-year-old boy, who arrived 1 month ago at our Children's Hospital San Vicente Foundation, due to appendicitis, a common disease in all human beings, in which the appendix is inflamed and should be in most of the cases removed by surgery. Although it has a cure, it can be risky if it is not treated in time, as its consequences are fatal.
From San Pedro, Antioquia, where he lives, this little boy started with an abdominal discomfort that seemed normal, but with the days he got worse and that was when his parents decided to travel to our Hospital in Medellin to receive the care he needed from our specialists. Here he was received with open arms and immediately transferred to the operating room for surgery. The surgery was complex, but fortunately, everything went well and today Jacobo is happier than ever.
His mother Andrea highlights in Jacobo the tenderness, joy, and happiness that he always has to give to others and thanks to the Children´s Hospital for the good attention they have with the treatment of all their patients. What Jacobo enjoys most is painting, playing soccer and jumping, with his two sisters he plays all the time.
Jacobo is now one of the children who have benefited with the donations of people like you and then can be access to the attention of our specialists and in addition to that, from our medical teams.
