"Know Your Type, Save a Life"
With the main objective to help students from young age to identify their blood type and raise awareness about health readiness during emergencies, we organize the mobile health camp named “Blood Group identification Camp” at Two Community Schools on 7th December 2025 and 13th January 2026. A one-day blood grouping camp along with a brief "health awareness session" at Bhimeshowar Secondary School, Doramba Sailung, Rural Municipality :7 and at Shree Kallabari Secondary School in Dudhpokhari, Sailung Rural Municipality–1, Dolakha, witnessed a meaningful and educational health initiative that brought learning beyond the classroom.
These Camp were conducted by Team of 3 wonderful Ladies
The event started with an informative session on Healthy Lifestyle, conducted by Dr. Katerina volunteer from the Czech Republic. The Students from grade 5 to grade10 at one school and from Nursery to grade10 at another school were actively participated and enjoyed the session. A blood group identification and awareness program was led by Ms. Koshila Shrestha, Laboratory In-charge of DCWC Community Hospital. Their continuous effort during the 6 hours blood grouping process with patience, care, and dedication, helping students understand the importance of knowing their blood group and ensuring each child’s blood group was correctly identified was highly appreciated.
Total 217 Students among which 118 Girls and 99 Boys learned why blood group information matters - especially during medical emergencies, accidents, and blood transfusions. For many of them, this was their first experience learning about their own blood group, making the day both educational and memorable.
This blood grouping camp has not only helped students learn about their blood types but has also inspired awareness about health and safety. Both Bhimeshowar Secondary School and Kallabari Secondary School look forward for more of such impactful programs in the future.
We believe Camp like this help build awareness, confidence, and a sense of responsibility toward health from a young age. We hope to continue organizing similar health-focused initiatives in the future for the well-being of students and the wider community.
Thank you all our well-wishers and Supporters in this incredible lifesaving journey
