Given the political sitiation in Venezuela since last July 28, acces to indigenous communities has been quite difficult, especially for organisations that work with isolated indigenous peoples.
However, despite the obstacles, we have not sopped our activities of donating medicines to the most disadvantaged in the State of Amazonas.
And so, we have distributed childhood antibiotics and dewormers to the communities near the Manapiare River benefitting more than 200 people.
In addition to this donation of medicines, we have taught workshops on female sexual helth, introduction to the use of contraceptives and the prevention of child sexual abuse that, due to ilegal mining activities, are common in indigenous communities close to ilegal mining camps.
