Overview
During this four-month reporting period, Fundación Nativo continued supporting Indigenous and rural communities in the Venezuelan Amazon by facilitating donations of essential medicines. These activities were made possible through a combination of our sustainable economic initiatives and the generous support of donors via the GlobalGiving platform.
Activities and Implementation
Funds raised through GlobalGiving were allocated to the purchase of essential medicines.
Medicines prioritized included treatments for common and preventable illnesses, such as pain relievers, antiparasitic medicines, basic antibiotics, and first-aid supplies.
Deliveries were coordinated with local community leaders and partners, ensuring culturally appropriate and timely distribution in remote areas.
Beneficiaries
During this period, the project benefited approximately 3 communities in the Venezuelan Amazon, reaching an estimated 350 people, including children and elders.
Impact
Improved access to basic medicines in hard-to-reach communities.
Reduced vulnerability to common and preventable health conditions.
Strengthened trust and collaboration with local communities.
Continued reinforcement of a social impact model linked to sustainable local economic activities.
Use of Funds and Transparency
All funds received through GlobalGiving were used responsibly and transparently, primarily for:
Procurement of medicines.
Logistics and transportation for delivery to remote communities.
Local coordination and follow-up.
Next Steps
Over the next four months, Fundación Nativo will continue supporting medicine donations, expand outreach where possible, and strengthen local partnerships to improve health outcomes in the region.
Thank You
We sincerely thank all GlobalGiving donors for their continued support. Your contributions help us deliver essential healthcare support to communities in the Venezuelan Amazon and build long-term, sustainable impact.
All the best from Venezuela,
Sagrario
