Dear friends,
Huge thanks from Um Hassan, Um Hisham, and the women in Masara Village for your generous support! School has just now closed for the summer but we are still busy fundraising to help these incredible women reach their goal of $10,000 for next year to purchase a new stove, a juice maker, and the monthly supplies of flour, milk, fruits and veggies that go into the healthy snacks and lunches the women make for 400 children each day. Thanks to you and 70 other donors, we are now 40% of the way to our fundraising goal.
We hope you consider taking the time to view this video if this amazing project: Sound Bodies, sound minds: The Masara Women's Cafeteria.
We hope to raise the rest of the funds needed by the time school opens in the fall. There are many ways you can stay connected to the issues that effect these children and their mothers:

The Middle East Children's Alliance ( MECA) just celebrated its 25th anniversary this past May 1st. It is because of a wonderful network of supporters of MECA that allows us to sponsor such inspiring projects such as this one. MECA listens and responds to grassroots communities, and we only support projects that people on the ground develop and deem important. Thanks for being part of our shared vision for healthy children, living free from occupation, who are free to play, learn and love.
