Last April 15th, the Hearing Health Tour #20 was held in the community of Superación campesina, where around 150 children between the ages of 1 year to 15 years were waiting to receive hearing care. This experience was joined by more than 60 volunteers, including otolaryngology specialists, audiologists and collaborators of foundations and companies.
In this activity, many children who had never received a hearing test in their lives underwent ear washing, audiometric tests and otoacustic emissions. It was determined that 12 children failed to pass any of the tests so this May 12, they were summoned, with their respective families, to visit the foundation to do a second examination and rule out false positives. From what is determined here, the foundation will continue to make efforts, to provide complete accompaniment to these children, until they can listen and communicate well.
We thank you for your support, which continues to allow us to coordinate these tours that rescue children with hearing problems in the most remote communities of Panama. Soon we will be giving you more news about our next tour that will be held in the month of October in a community of West Panama, La Chorrera.
Best regards!
