As winter arrives, thousands of families in Gaza are facing extremely harsh humanitarian conditions amid widespread destruction, collapsed infrastructure, and ongoing displacement. Many families have lost their homes and are now living in temporary shelters or tents that offer little protection from cold temperatures and heavy rain. As the weather grows colder, winter has become a serious threat—especially to children and the elderly.
In response to these urgent needs, Saed Relief and Development implemented a winter heating aid distribution project targeting the most vulnerable families in displacement camps, shelters, and severely affected areas. The assistance included coal, winter blankets, and essential heating materials to help families endure the freezing nights and harsh weather conditions.
This project helped ease the suffering of affected families and reduce health risks associated with extreme cold, such as respiratory illnesses and hypothermia. For children, the heating supplies brought warmth they had been deprived of for months. For mothers, the assistance offered reassurance amid constant fear for their children’s wellbeing. For the elderly, it restored a sense of safety and dignity during a time of immense hardship.
The heating materials distributed were more than physical aid—they were a message of solidarity and hope, reminding families in Gaza that they are not alone in facing the brutal winter. Beneficiary families expressed deep gratitude for the support, which helped ease the severity of daily life under such difficult conditions.
We extend our sincere thanks to all donors and supporters who contributed to the success of this humanitarian project. Your continued generosity and sharing of this report with family and friends enable us to expand our response, reach more families in need, and provide warmth and protection to those who need it most.
