Amid the severe humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, where thousands of homes and infrastructure facilities have been damaged due to ongoing escalation, families are facing extremely harsh living conditions, especially during the winter season. In response, Saed Charity implemented a heating assistance distribution project to support the most affected families and alleviate their suffering.
The project targeted families whose homes were damaged, displaced households, families with children and elderly members, as well as persons with disabilities. Beneficiaries were selected based on thorough field assessments that considered the level of damage and actual needs, in coordination with local partners to ensure assistance reached the most vulnerable groups.
Distributed heating assistance included high-quality winter blankets and essential items to help provide warmth inside temporary or damaged shelters. Distribution activities were carried out through organized mechanisms that respected beneficiaries’ dignity while adhering to safety and accountability standards.
This intervention contributed to reducing the impact of extreme cold on families, protecting children from cold-related illnesses, and providing a sense of safety and stability amid exceptional circumstances. The assistance also offered psychological relief to families who have lost many basic necessities of daily life.
Saed Charity reaffirms its commitment to standing alongside the people of Gaza and continuing to implement emergency relief projects that address essential needs, with the support of generous donors and humanitarian partners, strengthening community resilience in the face of repeated crises.
