As part of the efforts of the saed Relief and Development to provide food assistance to the most vulnerable communities in Gaza during the holy month of Ramadan, a successful Iftar meal distribution project was carried out, benefiting 200 families.
The project targeted low-income and disadvantaged households, especially children, the elderly, pregnant and breastfeeding women, aiming to provide nutritionally balanced meals to alleviate the hardships of families during the fasting month. Beneficiaries were selected through strict criteria in coordination with the association’s local teams to ensure aid reached those most in need.
The meals included essential and varied items such as rice, lentils, oil, dates, and water, providing the necessary energy and nutrition for those observing the fast. The meals were carefully packed in clean and safe containers to maintain food quality and ensure the safety of the recipients.
Distribution took place on specific days during Ramadan, following health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all involved, especially given the current health circumstances. The distribution process was documented with photos and videos as a reference for project monitoring and to demonstrate transparency to donors and partners.
The project contributed to strengthening social solidarity and community cohesion, with beneficiaries expressing their gratitude for the support received. They emphasized that the meals helped reduce financial burdens and ensured a healthy and nourishing Iftar for themselves and their families during Ramadan.
This project stands as a successful example of the saed Relief and Development ability to meet the needs of vulnerable families during critical times and reflects its ongoing commitment to serving the community and promoting humanitarian values.
