Dear Friends,
May this project report find you well.
Mid-July, the students who got their one-year training in hospitality started their education in vocational institutions. There are ten students who chose to learn more about the hospitality job, and seven of them are girls.
The journeys of the students started on July 7 when they attended the campus orientation. They meet new friends as well as learn the process of studying on campus. It was a week full of activities and they are happy to begin their year-long journey with new friends, instructors, and environment.
During the campus orientation, the students also meet professionals from the hospitality industry who have careers in five-star hotels and resorts. They also meet many representatives of the five stars hotels introducing their premises and the opportunity to have job training in those places.
At the end of the orientation, the students did community services by participating in a beach cleaning activity, organized by their campus. By the end of that week, the students finished their orientation activities and were ready for studying.
This is what Ari, a girl who gets training in food and beverage services, thinks about the study: "I am happy that I got the opportunity to continue my study in this vocational training. In the beginning, I already meet so many people from the industry who share with us what it likes working in the hospitality industry. I am looking forward to having the lesson in the classroom and having the practicum, I am really excited to be a trainee in one of those big hotels introduced to us during the orientation. Thank you for this opportunity"
YKIP would like to thank you for your support so that we could continue our vocational program an support more students, especially girls to have a training in the skill of their choice.
Warmest regards,
YKIP Team.
