Dear YKIP Friends,
May this project report finds you well.
As the end of 2023 is approaching, we would like to share good news with you all. The students who are sponsored by the Vocational Scholarship Program finished their study. Nine students (eight of them are girls) graduated from the vocational institution after a year of training.
The happy news started in October when two students who trained in Food production; Wahyuni and Desi, graduated from Monarch Bali Cabang Gianyar with satisfactory remarks. The two students graduated on October 14. Now Wahyuni works in a five-star hotel where she got her internship during her study in Monarch. Desi now is a cook in a boutique hotel in the center of Ubud.
The graduation of Murdi, a student majoring in Food and Beverage Services took place on November 2, 2023. She graduated from a vocational institution in Gianyar Regency. Similar to Wahyuni, she now works in the same hotel where she took her internship.
On November 5, three students who studied business administration, Tia, Sintya, and Puspita, graduated from Alfa Prima Karangasem, the vocational institution in East Bali. The three students finished their studies after learning at campus for eight months followed by on-the-job training in the institution of their choice. Tia and Puspita got their training in a Notary Office in Karangasem, while Puspita took her internship at the Department of Tourism Karangasem Regency. Another student, Puspa, graduated from Alfa Prima Denpasar. Like her peers in Karangasem, she also went through mandatory job training after studying on campus. Puspa got her internship at an electronic retailer in Denpasar. All alumni are now working a job of their choice.
The last graduation was on December 22, 2023. Srinu who got her training in Front Office Management graduated from a vocational institution in Gianyar together with the only male student in the program; Widnyana. They graduated with good marks. Similar to their peers who graduated before them, the two alumni are also already working in the hotel where they took their internship for six months.
YKIP is happy that we could support the nine students to continue their studies in the vocational institution. The fact that all of them are already working even before graduating is another happy news that we are grateful for.
All of this achievement is because of the generous support from our donors like you. Without your support, YKIP would not be able to help the children get their one-year training and get a decent job.
Lastly, we wish you a happy holiday! Thank you very much for being a part of the YKIP journey in 2023. Your kindness is not only supporting our scholarship program, but also touching the sponsored students and their families' hearts. Have a cheerful holiday, and may 2024 become a great year for all of us.
Again, thank you very much,
YKIP team
