Train 150 Youths in Vocational Skills in Nigeria

In the words of William James, “The deepest craving of human nature is the need to be appreciated." We are incredibly grateful for your kindness, generosity, and expression of solidarity to our project, "HELP 15K YOUTHS IN VOCATIONAL & INNOVATIVE SKILLS (54332". In the past three months of our last project report, we haven't received donation through GlobalGiving link platform as at the time of this report. Within the last three months, we have received few donations from few individuals who assisted us through In-kind donations. And our little contributions. Here is the little income we were able to receive and how it was used for our humanitarian services:

Below is a short description of some of the humanitarian relief you have supported is with your donation.

EXPENSES
i) Seminar materials =$30.25

ii) Facilitators appreciation = $50

iii) Volunteer/Staff appreciation = $50

iv) Communication and telephone bills = $ 25.17

v) Graphic Artist = $30

vi) balance of last expenditures brought forward = $-51.2

Grand Total = $236.62

Balance= $-21.17

We are handicapped due to economic situation and inflation rate.

Besides, there are lots of benefits Vocational and Innovative skills can do to our teaming youths. It will equip our youths in entrepreneurial skills and this is geared towards massive production that will in turn help in the growth of the nation’s economy.

It will be a major source of income and financial independence for individuals because, one who is technically skilled is bound to become self-reliant.

Vocational and Innovative skills is useful in the science and engineering fields because it involves the application of scientific knowledge to solve basic problems and ease man’s living. Hence, there is provision of huge manpower to industries.

Vocational education provides individuals with employment and a good means of living. The implication of this will be reduction in crime rate. Joblessness is one of the factors that encourage criminal activities. Vocational education addresses this issue to a large extent.

Another benefit this can bring to society is that no society can simply do without vocational and Innovative skills. It contributions include areas such as building, woodwork, metalwork, automobile, electrical/electronic etc. technologies. It is impossible to do away with the carpenters, electricians, bricklayers, welders, auto mechanics etc.

All these aforementioned benefits cannot be actualized without support. Shortage of funds, equipment and facilities are significant problems affecting our organization in carrying out our vocational and technical education to the youths. Without state of the arts equipment, workshops, training materials and fund for maintenance, the implementation of vocational and technical education programmes which we have started to support the youths will remain a mirage.

As the crises rages on, insecurity, uncertainty, and humanitarian needs abound. We are committed to providing humanitarian and long-term support to our teaming youths.

Besides, the September Little by Little Matching Campaign is right around the corner once again. GlobalGiving’s September 2022 Little by Little campaign will last 5 days, from September 12, 2022, at 00:00:00 EDT to September 16, 2022, at 23:59:59 EDT.
