Earth Keepers Return

We are just about to wrap up our last week of summer camp. While still in a global pandemic, the campers were provided with a  fun, very engaging,  and very safe environment  The efforts and success of this summer was also made possible thanks to a huge effort from our staff, community, and donors (like you!).

Throughtout the summer, many friendships and bonds were created. Parents could be seen scrambling for writing materials to get  contacts from other parents, so that they could have play dates outside of camp. Though most play dates were outside of Piedmont Wildlife Center, One pair of friends did spend a Saturday back in the woods were their friendship began.

As schools are returning this fall to in-person learning, there is still an uncertainty to what the school year is going to look like. but at Piedmont Wildlife Center, we'll still be getting kids outside and exploring!

While we are trying to get  Earth Keepers back in schools, our fall on-site porgamming is all set to connect kids to nature, to others, and as well as to themselves. Though the locations may change,  the most essential parts remain: community, exploration, and respect. After having 2 summers of  mask use and social distancing, it has still been challenging. We are still very impressed with the respect and patience our campers have shown in order to keep their friends and family safe.

The biggest challenge this fall will be the needs we are unable to meet. More families than ever have requested financial aid.  Piedmont Wildlife Center has the tools to help these families, but we need your support to get our programs to the people who need them most. Please consider extending your generosity to help us meet these needs.

We are so grateful for everything you do - our work would not be possible without your belief and support.

Thank you for your generosity in supporting our camp.
