Many children living in cocoa farming communities in Ghana struggle to access basic healthcare due to poverty, poor road networks, and limited medical facilities. Malaria, infections, malnutrition, and untreated illnesses continue to affect vulnerable children in these rural villages. This project will provide free medical treatment, medicines, health screening, and outreach services for 300 sick children in underserved cocoa-growing communities.
Children in cocoa farming villages often live far from healthcare facilities, and many families cannot afford transportation or medical treatment. Poor living conditions, limited access to clean water, and inadequate healthcare services increase the risk of preventable illnesses. Many sick children are treated late or not treated at all, leading to serious health complications.
This project will organize medical outreach visits to cocoa farming communities to provide free consultations, essential medicines, child health screening, nutrition support, and treatment for common illnesses affecting children. Health workers will also educate parents on hygiene, nutrition, malaria prevention, and early healthcare seeking.
This project will improve healthcare access and health outcomes for 300 sick children in cocoa villages. It will reduce untreated illnesses, improve child health awareness, strengthen early diagnosis, and help vulnerable children grow healthier and safer in rural communities.
