Improving educational justice in Iraq

The project to help 3000 orphans and homeless Iraqis that started at the beginning of this year is going well. The employees of Seeds of Goodness (BAORD) are now assisting marginalized children and orphans by rehabilitating their damaged homes as a result of military operations in Iraq and they are happy to return their homes again and live in them. The program implemented by our organization Rehabilitation of 60 damaged homes in Iraq The program has achieved great results for children and women.

Maryam and her family left the village of Al-Tala’a in the Khalis district of Diyala governorate for a camp in Kirkuk in 2014. When I was displaced, Maryam not only lost her material possessions, but also her home, which was severely damaged during her displacement. Even worse, due to difficulties in obtaining medication, Maryam's husband died of diabetes on the way to the camp, leaving her to navigate an uncertain future as the head of the household.
Maryam stayed in Kirkuk camp for four months, as the camp could not accommodate her extended family. They left the camp to settle temporarily in an area inside Kirkuk in an abandoned house that was obtained from one of the relatives of her deceased husband in Kirkuk governorate. And there I dwelt
After her village was liberated in 2016, Mariam and her family went back to see their home, finding that it had been badly damaged. The house was burned with holes in the ceiling as a result of the bombing, and the doors and windows were completely uninhabitable. They were forced to return to an area in Kirkuk.
Bothoor Alkhaer Organization for Relief and Development in Diyala continues to work on the rehabilitation of destroyed houses, such as Maryam’s house, after restoring rooms, ceilings, health facilities, electricity, doors, windows, and others.
