Missed Opportunity

PWC strives to bring interactive wildlife education to as many schools as possible. Through these programs, children learn facts about native animals and hopefully develop a mindset of conservation. While our staff and their cohorts are dedicated to improving the integration of human life and wildlife welfare, it is the future generation that must continue to carry the torch.

We recently missed the opportunity to engage with students at a Durham County public school. Funds can be tight, and while our programs are enriching, they are not always feasible on a strict budget. When they reached out asking if they could participate through our Title 1 fund, we unfortunately had to say "no." We had exhausted our resources for the school year.

By donating to our Title 1 fund, you can change the outcome. Through the support of the community and those dedicated to passing on a love for nature, we reach students who would not be able to see us otherwise. You help in our mission to provide wildlife experiences for students of all backgrounds and raise a generation dedicated to conserving the world around them.
