t’s said that one learns by doing.
After the training session organized on “ beading and macrame” from September 22nd to 20th 2025, for the facilitators who are members of the children’s club in the Taluy Community ( Marigot, Jacmel/ southeast ), the participants did . The workshops went also conducted. The children continue to apply the concept learned during the training, thus increasing their works carried out)
On sunday 28th, an exhibition was held at the community’s parish school to display showcase the children’s work to the public. Approximately one hundred people, members of the community (friends and relatives) attended the exhibition. They were very pleased. Many expressed strong interest in paying the children to make items for them.
The Limyè Lavi foundation, in collaboration with the facilitators, will continue to guide the children to help them produce more. The focus will be on the summer holidays, as the children
will have more free time.
