Dear supporters,
The end of the school year is always a busy time for our program teams, with summer activities around the corner, planning for the next school year in full steam, and, of course, reflecting back on everything that happened in the past 12 months.
Earlier this month, Cohort 2 of Model Schools graduated from the program during the annual Reflection and Graduation event, joining our community of alumni. The Reflection and Graduation took place over three days filled with activities and emotions. During the event, participants had the opportunity to not only attend reflection sessions and workshops but also meet and network with the rest of the participants in Model Schools and A New Way to Teaching from across the country.
During the three days, participants were challenged with different activities that reinforced vital skills they developed through the two years of the program - teamwork, leadership, and experiential learning. Some groups were programming with beads, some created short stories detailing what they learned in the program, while others worked in teams to build a tall tower and reflected on the process afterward.
Participants could also visit the exhibition titled Experience, Successes, and Lessons Learned, during which the schools and teachers from both programs shared insight into their participation and shared their knowledge with their peers.
In the next report, we will introduce the schools in Cohort 4 of Model Schools, who are starting their journey in the program this summer.
Building such a community of Bulgarian educators dedicated to change would not be possible without your continued support, which we are grateful for!
With gratitude,
The Teach For Bulgaria team
