Overview: The Ngao Foundation is pleased to present the quarterly report detailing our efforts in supporting children's access to education through the "Help a Child Get Back to School" program. This report covers the period from January to March 2024.
Scholarship Program: All twelve Ngao scholars successfully returned to school after the mid-term break, demonstrating their commitment to education. During the break, they engaged in homework activities and volunteered at the Ngao Foundation, furthering their academic and social development.
Eunice's Eyeglasses: During a visit to Eunice's school, it was discovered that she urgently needed eyeglasses. The Ngao Foundation facilitated the procurement of glasses for her, ensuring her continued success in academics.
Soccer Tournament: In December, we organized a soccer tournament aimed at supporting talented children while fostering social skills, networking, and learning. The tournament provided an avenue for children to engage in physical activity, build friendships, and avoid idleness during the long school break.
Community Support: The Ngao Foundation continues to receive overwhelming requests for education scholarships from the Kangemi community. Despite the challenges, we have successfully supported twelve children throughout the term, providing them with school requirements and clearing tuition fees.
Ongoing Support: Despite the increased demand, we remain committed to providing support to enrolled students. We have ensured that all children receive full uniforms, necessary scholastic materials, and cleared tuition fees for the first term ending on March 26th, 2024.
Future Plans: During the April break, which spans three weeks, we plan to engage students in mentoring sessions to support their career paths and personal development, further enhancing their educational journey.
Gratitude: We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our supporters for their invaluable contributions towards changing lives through education. With your continued support, we aim to fulfill our mission of providing access to education for all children in need.
Pending Support: Attached to this report are profiles of four girls on the waiting list awaiting support to join high school. We remain committed to assisting them in accessing quality education and fulfilling their potential.
