Help A Child Get Back to School

Education is one of the most powerful gifts a child can receive. For many children in vulnerable communities across Kenya, however, the opportunity to attend school remains a distant dream—until someone, somewhere, chooses to believe in them. I am one of those children.

 My name is Mary, and I am among the five lucky students the NGAO Foundation picked to support this year. When I received the news, I couldn’t believe it. I honestly thought my education journey had ended. My parents were struggling; they couldn’t afford to pay my school fees. I was constantly sent home. The dream of finishing school faded each time I packed my bag to leave again. I had given up.

 That was until one morning when NGAO Foundation came knocking. That moment changed everything. I am now back in school — learning, growing, and daring to dream again. It feels like I have been given a second chance at life, and I wake up each day knowing that someone out there chose to invest in my future. That someone is you.

 In the past few months, the NGAO Foundation ensured that all five of us had our school fees paid for the entire year. This not only allowed us to remain in class but also gave our families the peace of knowing their children are not being left behind.

 Across Kenya, many families are still facing tremendous challenges. The economic climate continues to weigh heavily on households, and more children are at risk of dropping out of school due to a lack of school fees, uniforms, or basic supplies. For children like me, your support does more than just pay fees — it restores hope.
