Help a Tanzanian Orphan Complete Primary School

Aidanius and Raymondo are twelve year old twins whom we met back in 2017 (see our GlobalGiving report from December 4, 2017). At that time, they were seven and the youngest of six siblings. Their mother had died when they were two years old. Their father, Paulo, has provided good care for all six children, however it is a big responsibility, and even though he has worked hard with various jobs, the pay is not enough to provide all of his children with the education they deserve. With the help of friends and of our assistance through GlobalGiving, the family is doing well and Aidan and Raymondo are thriving in school.

Because the twins live 12 kilometres from school, they have been boarding full-time at their school, New Vision School.  All of these locations are located in very remote areas of northwestern Tanzania and reached only over dirt roads. Writing from personal experience, the last time Gayle Kliever drove to this area, three tires were destroyed! This underscores how challenging it is for these students to access quality educaiton close to home.

The rest of their family also seems to be doing well. One older sister has finished Form Six (the highest level of high school) and is serving in the Tanzanian army.  Another brother is completing primary school at the end of this year. 

During their whole time with the GLK Scholarship Fund - since 2017 - Aidan and Raymondo have not had a specific sponsor.  Through GlobalGiving, all of you, our wonderful donors, are the direct supporters of the twins and their primary school education.
