Help a VisuallyChallenged to secure Master'sDegree

Indian Association for the Blind (lAB), based in Madurai, South India, is an NGO which works at the grassroots level for the education, employment and rehabilitation of people with visual challenges. It was established in 1985 by visually challenged activist Late Mr. S.M.A.Jinnah and a group of like-minded visually challenged people to provide comprehensive education, training, employment and rehabilitation facilities for socio-economically disempowered visually challenged children, youths and adults with a special focus on those from rural areas.

We have raised totally $144.09 through this project. One of our beneficiaries says thanks to Global Giving, “My name is Suryaprakash doing my Master’s in History. My aim is to become a History professor and my dream is moving forward because of Global Giving. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude for the generous donation you awarded me. Growing up in a less privileged community has not only offered financial and academic challenges, but has also helped me realize the value of a college education. As one of this year’s beneficiaries, I was honored to receive this donation.

Without a doubt, this donation will play a key role in achieving my educational dreams. Because of your generosity, the financial burden placed on me to pursue my education will be reduced. That means I can spend more time on my studies, research and extracurricular activities and less time worrying about my finances.”
