Pam's husband came home, began screaming at her, pushed her against the wall several times, kicked her when she fell to the ground and raped her. This had happened several times over the past year. Every time her husband would cry, say he was sorry, beg for her forgiveness and promise it wouldn't happen again. This time, after his apologies, she waited until he was asleeep, and snuck out of the house with her son and daughter. She called a friend of hers that lives outside of Rome. When Pam called us she was hiding at her friend's house. She was terrified and didn't know what to do. One of our advocates helped Pam understand her options and set into motion a plan to get them to safety. Pam has since left her husband and is living back in the USA, with her children.
