Help Bring Electricity to Puerto Rico

Thank You & Project Update:

Thank you to all our wonderful donors to help us bring electricity to Puerto Rico. We have been overwhelmed by everyone’s support towards this cause and for placing us #1 in the GlobalGiving Giving Tuesday matching campaign last month. As mentioned in our last report, we've been speaking to those on ground and feel the first need is charging stations so residents of Puerto Rico can have basic communication via their cell phones.  Thus, our plan is to build “Solar-Powered Communication Charging Stations” in the most remote communities in Puerto Rico and thanks to your generosity and support, we've have now raised enough to start planning to go on ground for Phase One.

You Can Help Us Win a Prize by Donating Again!

Today, we are not only writing to give you an update on our project, but in fact to share with you exciting News.  DGF-Educate a Girl's "Help Bring Electricity to Puerto Rico" has become a star project on GlobalGiving, thanks to you.  We have just placed #5 in the competition for first project to reach 50 donors.  We have to date almost 270 donors to this project and if each of you were to donate $10 or more during this month or spread the word to a friend, we would surely top the donor list and qualify for a $1500 bonus prize for most donors in the month of December.

Global Giving this month is also 100% matching recurring donations up to $200 per donor per project, as long as it remains active for 3 months. Please consider donating $10 or more on a monthly basis as it really amplifies impact.

We are currently $3662 short of raising the $10,000 to qualify for a bonus prize of $100 for first 10 projects to reach $10,000.

We are currently #2 placed in the competition to raise the most funds in the month of December from a minimum of 30 donors.  The winner will receive $1500!
