The construction of the dining hall and the computer classes is going on well. We have completed the plastering, fixing of the shutters and all the floors.. The block has two computer classes,an office, a dining hall, a storage, a kitchen and a working area. There is an extra space on the first floor which will be used as a resting room for the babies. We started painting on the 15th Feb 2018 and this will take us three weeks to finish. The building will be inaugrated mid March.
This block has changed the look of the school and even the village. It is the first storey building in the village where we are located. All the children are excited and are all looking forward to start using it.
We have purchased computers and this has made each and every child happy. This is the most exciting year for the children, counting days and looking forward to the day they will start touching the keyboards. It has been interesting that some of the children still knew the monitors were TVs. We have no words enough to thank you for changing our children and the community for a good a purpose. Living in the village is not easy as there is no exposure and many children cry when they see cars. Having computers in our school will change many and will bring them out of ignorance. Our government changed the curriculum and it was not known if our children would be able to have computersthey as it is mandatory and it is in our syllibuses. YOU have anabled them to be like other children in other schools. They will have an opportunity to learn computers just like the others.
We highly appreciate your sacrifice and your commitment to make a difference in the lives of the needy. Tumaini received more orphans and poor children and we are requesting you to share with friends about the good things you are doing in the lives of the disadvantaged. Introduce them to child sponsorship program to help the neew children.
