It is our prayer and hope that you started your year well and as we approach the quarter we believe you have settled in well. We are glad to share with you the great achievements YOU have achieved together with your students. Since we started the polytechnic (Trade School) our first groups of students are now on attachments to enable them gain job experience. YOUR students have done well in all their internal exams and after the attachments they will be doing their exam with the Kenya National Examination council Body which will enable them to go to the next level. It has been an amazing experience to all YOUR students, the outside world has enlightened them and they are not the same. Their way of thinking has changed and they are seeing things in a different way. They have believed that there is always a second life chance in life.
This second chance has been provided by YOU! Without you this could not have been realized, these youth could be out there murdering people in the community for food and other things. We could have lost some of them in different bad ways, but YOU have changed all these for GOOD!
We have new admission and so far we have 12 students who have joined us. We are still admitting new students until the month of May. We are now in the process of building a new workshop for welding. This will also open doors for the new course which will start immediately the construction is over. This is happening because of YOU, we are grateful for the commitment and sacrifice you are offering to our youths.
Challenges are always there in everything and the challenges we have is the number of youths who are joining the institution but they can’t pay for their fees. The reason is because they have no parents to support them and we are not able to keep them in school without fees. Our resources are limited, we have are now supporting 10 students and we have more who can’t afford to pay the fees, we are requesting that you help us by sharing with friends the good work YOU are doing in the lives of these youths and the need that is arising. We are hoping that this will help us get more support to enable us support and give skills to more youths in the community.
