Four Years of Success

By Rose Bugusu | Director

The new twin workshop completed
The new twin workshop completed

It is four years since the trade school was officially opened its doors for the students. We enrolled 23 students who did their exams in 2015 which was also our first exam as an institution. Currently we have 20 students, 12 did their National exam this month of November and are now waiting for their results which will come out next year. This has been achieved through your support and through the sponsorship program that was invented to give the youth a second chance in life.

We are still working on the construction and we haven’t started building the administration block.  We have managed to complete the two new workshops and one will serve as a boarding facility for the girls.  The dormitories are also needed for both girls and boys which will enable us get students from far away.  Walking distance for the youth is very long, they walk up to 4 kilometers to and from the school every day. This also interferes with their studies as they arrive late at the institution which affects their lessons.

We are very grateful for the donations towards the construction of the workshops and it is our prayer that you will share widely with friends and family members about this noble cause. Sharing what you are doing in the lives of the youth will surely make a difference and we will be able to help more in the community.

The achievement is huge! All the students have changed in behavior and are seeing the other side of life which is different from what they knew, failure. YOU have not only their lives but the community in general.
