On December 8, 2021, at the tender age of 2 years, Safia was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (blood cancer) at the Center for Maternity and Childhood in Astana. She was started on immediate treatment, undergoing all the prescribed courses of chemotherapy. After successfully completing the treatment in August 2022, she continued with maintenance chemotherapy.
Unfortunately, in December 2023, a devastating setback occurred as Safia was diagnosed with CNS involvement, signaling an early relapse of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The disease is progressing rapidly, with time being of the essence. In the pursuit of effective medical intervention, Safia's parents decided to seek treatment at Emsey Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey. The recommended treatment plan involves four cycles of chemotherapy, whole-body irradiation, and a bone marrow transplant.
Despite the parents' best efforts to find funding independently, their resources are insufficient to cover all of the required medical expenses. Time is running out for them as the bone marrow transplant is scheduled for mid-March. Your contribution enabled us to support Safia and her family and alleviate their financial burden.
