Matías is two years old and lives with his father and grandparents; He is a cheerful and sociable child, he loves to play with sand and vanilla ice cream. The child has hearing impairment with significant hearing loss since birth.
Matías requires constant treatment, although its condition hasn't cure, it can significantly improve your hearing with therapy. His family has found many barriers to access these treatments by the health system and for this reason, he is a beneficiary of our Foundation.
Thanks to the support of people like you, Matías's family receives guidance to strengthen the strategies given, stimulate and develop skills in the child, through the proposed activities and reinforcing therapeutic work at home, observing in Matías achievements such as:
- Produce many sounds, babbles and calls to his dad
- It is evident that he understands the dynamics of the situations of his surroundings.
- When people like his dad or his aunt ask you to produce animal sounds or some objects he does.
- Follow simple commands such as moving, pointing, throwing objects in different directions according to the instruction.
Thanks to the support received from people like you, Matías can continue his rehabilitation process, increase his auditory capacity and develop the language to interact in a better way with the environment and the loved ones around him.
