I am Emmanuel, I am 11 years old, I live in Colombia, in a village called El Rosario located in the municipality of Marinilla, Antioquia; I live there with my mother, she is the one who takes care of me and accompanies me in all the activities I do. I am a very happy, tender and shared child. I really like soccer because I can have many friends and share many moments with them.
I am diagnosed with sensorineural hearing loss, which is a hearing loss due to a lesion in the inner ear that connects to the brain. For this condition, I must wear permanent hearing aids according to my hearing needs. These amplify the sound and allow me to communicate better. . Since 2019, I have been part of the Fundación Patronato and since then they have made it possible for me to have my hearing aids according to my needs.
Currently, I am in sixth grade and because I required a change in my hearing aids, it had been difficult for me to understand the explanations of my teachers and I had many difficulties at the school level, in addition, sharing with my friends and my mother had become very complicated, because they had to repeat things to me many times so that I could understand them, for me, it is very important to change hearing aids regularly, because of the benefits they have on my development, on my learning processes and on the way I relate.
Today I want to tell you that thanks to your donation it has been possible for the Patronato Foundation to change my life and that of many other children and adolescents like me. Your generosity becomes a great encouragement for the Foundation to continue working for children's health in Colombia.
