Dear donor friend, today I want to tell you about a wonderful health brigade that we carry out from the Patronato Foundation to prevent situations that put the health of children and adolescents at risk in Támesis, municipality of the department of Antioquia, Colombia. During this day, we provided 88 specialized consultations between orthopedics, pediatric surgery and otorhinolaryngology.
It was very exciting for us to learn so many stories full of hope. We were moved to learn about the case of Saulo, a child who, at the age of 2, due to medical negligence and a surgery that he did not require, developed cerebral palsy type spastic quadriparesis, which caused stiff muscles, physical and intellectual disability, and severe muscle pain that They get worse with movement. Today, at 11 years old, Saulo requires expensive hip surgery to improve his tense muscles, spasticity and the severe pain that torments him.
With your contribution we can provide Saulo with the surgery that will give him a better quality of life, some preoperative vitamin supplements, and cover postoperative costs. Once again we appreciate the support you always give us to change the lives of so many boys, girls and adolescents. We hope to count on your generosity again so that Saulo can smile again.
