Dear friend and donor.
Today, we want to share the story of Luciana, a brave 3-year-old Venezuelan girl who came to the city of Medellin in Colombia in search of support for her health. Luciana faces significant health challenges that require immediate medical intervention so that she can have a better quality of life.
A year ago, Luciana was diagnosed with congenital cataracts and urgently requires surgery to treat a detached retina. Without this intervention, there is a serious risk that she will lose her vision permanently. In addition, it is essential that she receives specialized consultations and tests to rule out Marfan syndrome, a condition that affects connective tissue, that is, the fibers that support and structure organs and tissues in the body.
The uncertainty and risk of possible complications weigh heavily on the family facing this difficult situation and the negligence of their health system. For this reason, we turn to your generosity so that we can offer Luciana the opportunity to receive the appropriate and timely treatment. Your support can transform her life and provide hope for her vision.
We thank you in advance for your consideration and invaluable support in this important cause that will allow us to give Luciana the opportunity for a brighter future.
