Independence achieved

By Carmen Ruiz | Executive Director

We are grateful to inform that the 12 children with hearing loss have improve their social and academic performance.  They understand and express their opinions or ideas to multiple parties, they also show motivation to communicate and participate in educational activities, always using natural signs accompanied by sound and vocalization words when these are familiar to them.

They understand directions involving skills to recall events; strive to articulate adequately the words to describe the situations.  The teachers and relatives also notice that the children are more independent in their oral responses; their vocabulary has increased each day over sessions, which is largely due to the support given by their families.

Samuel is five years old, he has improved in all aspects; he asks questions and give significant contributions in school activities, he uses a much higher vocabulary for his age, has good memory. Samuel has to develop  fine and gross motor skills.

The grandmother as the primary caregiver, is committed to the given guidelines and recommendations, which has significantly favored the development of Samuel. For her diligence, responsibility and commitment, very good results are expected in the socio-emotional development of Samuel, who has been enriched by meaningful experiences offered by his family and the Foundation.
