Juanita is 9 years old and is diagnosed with down syndrome.
In the cognitive area, was emphatized the self-recognition, the following up of self-care routines, and routines within the terapies; on the other hand, she continued with the description of images and the strengthening of fine motor skills through manual work with different textures.
In mathematics, numerical identification, spatial notions and basic geometric figures were worked during the sessions.
From the area of physiotherapy and hydrotherapy the sessions were intented to improve gross motor skills taking into account her psychomotor development, sensory, perceptual failures, coordination and gait; all this, by means of activities that involve strengthening and adaptation of posture.
From the area of phonoaudiology, she was encouraged to read two or more images, to relate the parts of the sentence referring to the use of personal pronouns. For the accomplishment of these purposes, ludic activities were developed with graphic material.
In the music education component, she tried to sing and follow her own rhythm. Moreover, she produced sounds and effects with the mouth, hands and body and imitated and sang heard sounds.
The family commitment was good, the mother keeps pending of the process and is attentive to the recommendations.
In general, there are significant advances in each of the aspects worked, bringing her closer to new learning and increasing the integral, intellectual and motor development.
