Project Expansion - Supporting a new family

By Effective Help | from collected testimonies

Rejoice - new child supported by the program
Rejoice - new child supported by the program

Thanks to your donations received in cash and online, the project has enough resources to support two families. A new family has been included in the program in 2025.

Henry and Mirabell's family:

Henry is a photographer living in Bamenda, together with his wife Mirabell they have had two children affected by Sickle Cell Anaemia.

"You have done a lot. Since these children were born, and today the boy is twenty-one, the girl is ten years old (close to eleven) nobody has given us any assistance before.

I have decided to stop having children because we have gone through a lot as a family. I think I developed high blood pressure because of these years of suffering. What you have done looks like a miracle to me. I can't ask for more, any help you can give me is welcome. I just want to ask that God should give you more. Thank you so much. You have done a lot for my family and my children.

Their health is better now because of this assistance. My children have gone through severe crises in the past and we were having financial difficulties. What you have given for their monthly drugs will help a lot. Their health is already better. I was never expecting this assistance.

My first boy, Stephan, is learning to become a fridge technician, he is good at anything that involves iron or electronics. His sister Rejoice is now in class 6 and will start secondary school next year, she is preparing her Common Entrance exam.

We have a lot of needs, if I start asking, the list would be long. I can't mention them now. I can't ask for more than what you have given me. I am grateful for what you have done for us, it means a lot. Thank you.

Note: As Stephan is not anymore a minor, he will soon be able to work and he is less vulnerable to the severe crises brought by sickle cell disease, Henry's family is assisted with about 36$ a month, while the first family in the program (Madam Shu's family) receives about 51$. The transfer amount is determined by the number of children (aged 0-17) affected by sickle cell anaemia in the family.

Thank you for your assistance for this neglected issue. Your contributions help preserve the lives of three vulnerable children this year.
