Dear donors,
Thank you for your generous support and for helping sustain life-saving HIV care in Nigeria. Your contributions are making it possible for people living with HIV to stay healthy despite funding challenges.
Over 1.8 million Nigerians live with HIV, and nearly 40% are not receiving treatment. With USAID reducing support, thousands risk interruptions in their medication, testing, and counseling. Gaps in care can cause drug resistance, worsening health, and increased risk of new infections.
This project is designed to fill those gaps by providing antiretroviral drugs, community-based testing, counseling, and patient follow-up. Local health workers will ensure that those who cannot reach clinics continue to receive their medications and guidance. Your support helps patients maintain consistent treatment, reduce illness, and prevent the spread of HIV in their communities.
At this stage, the funds raised are not yet sufficient to fully implement the program. We continue to seek additional support to reach more communities and prevent treatment interruptions.
Warm regards,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
