Having a disabled and bedridden person in a home, who has urinary incontinence, is a major challenge. Especially if the person is intellectually disabled with speech impairment, who needs help and support round the clock. This problem requires frequent change of clothing, washing the private parts of the patient using disinfectants, and drying of the clothes. This continues till the very last day of life of the disabled person.

This disability is compounded when accompanied by emptying the bowel, frequently. The obnoxious smell tends to permeate the entire living environment causing stress to the family and guests.  In almost all cases the burden rests upon the mother who is required to manage such situations.

Medical treatment, including surgery, is out of the question for such disabled persons. Use of diapers will, to a great extent, alleviate the difficulties posed by this problem. Generally mothers help in this kind of burden imposed upon them, but we have several instances of the fathers having to take over in absence of the mother due to death or employment.  We thank the caregivers who continue to provide assistance to such persons, day after day.

Balajothi thanks YOU, DONOR, for your generous contribution of $ 217 raised to date, for this noble project of helping disabled persons with urinary incontinence. 

Thanks to your generous giving and concern for the underprivileged disabled community we have been able to help 2 persons suffering from urinary incontinence by supplying diapers regularly on a monthly basis.  This has resulted in great relief to both families and patients, especially the mothers.  They are very grateful for this god-sent solution and send their grateful thanks to you.
