Strong community, strong children

Dear donors,

Due to your support and making such an impact on this project, we carry on supporting children living in remote communities in Armenia and help them regain their knowledge. As this project gives basic education to children marginalized from society, it is important for us to follow them and, of course, make education a priority. Doing different types of work and sometimes being exploited, they forget that they will certainly need the missed knowledge and experience in their futures.

Children from the rural communities of our country feel the necessity of participating in such educational courses where they could have an opportunity to complete the missing knowledge and skills. Though vulnerable and constrained, they keep on showing up with suggestions for how they can get out of that situation and exist in society more confidently. And the key solution to these problems is certainly education.

This time, the beneficiaries present at the meeting had the opportunity to do work that will improve their social skills, strengthen their ability to work in a team, and help them overcome problems in their communities. The interactive meeting took place in Dilijan community, where the most beautiful scenery of Armenia prevails.

We hope that we will have a chance to share more happy and important moments with you.

The following is Emil's story and a message addressed to the donors.

Hi, this is Emil. This is my first time participating in this program. Today, I am happy to do the wonderful tasks that help me strengthen my skills. My friends look at me, and they see my happiness. I am ready to participate in these seminars with pleasure to improve my life and future steps. Thanks to all the donors for this project.

Interactive meeting in the Dilijan community

Process of team-building

Dear donors,

We continue to support school-aged children in remote communities in Armenia and are ready to share with you the progress that is seen from time to time.

Beneficiaries of this project come to the conviction that education is not really a problem, and their knowledge and skills will be invested in the construction of strong and sustainable communities in the near future, as they are the driving force of the community.

A part of our target group, living in a socially sophisticated environment, performing a variety of hard work, sometimes even isolating themselves from their peers and friends, and this leads them to constraints and underestimation of their own strengths.

The purpose of this project is to help the children to fill the missed knowledge, to be free in the team, and to learn and work in a friendly environment.

This time the project working group met in the city of Dilijan in Tavush province, where the beneficiaries welcomed the project trainer and the whole team with great enthusiasm and smiles. 15 beneficiaries participated in the interactive meeting.

At first, the participants were given an interesting task where they were asked to talk about themselves, what skills, abilities and interests they have, and what their dreams are. This helps children to get to know each other better and work in a free atmosphere.

In order to develop the beneficiary’s creative abilities, we assigned a creative task for them related to drawing titled "What activities do I do with my family?" This work enabled the participants to understand the importance of family, the problems, and, of course, the challenges that exist in society.

We are again happy to mention that, due to your great impact in this project, you are building strong connections between our beneficiaries. This time, 15 beneficiaries had the chance to smile and share their smile with you.

Continuation of distance education

Roman's philosophical question

Dear Donors,

Our world looks different now with COVID-19. But that doesn’t mean that we cannot make a difference – in fact, our support is needed now more than ever. We’re excited to let you know about changes in our program that will help you make an impact from wherever you are, whenever you can.

In remote communities of Armenia, people live in extreme poverty. It is difficult for parents to build a prosperous life for their children, as many of them can barely make a living. The goal of our team is to improve the quality of life for children in these families and, most importantly, educate them.

The aim of this project is to help the children to fill the gaps in their knowledge, to feel comfortable in a group, and to learn and work in a friendly environment.

We are again happy to mention that, due to your great impact on this project, you are building a solid basis and strong connection with our beneficiaries.

This time, we instructed our beneficiaries to answer the following question: “How are you, really?” It was very important for us to hear their opinions and answers about this new reality: as there is a pandemic, they should shift to distance education.

We hope that we will have a chance to share happy and important moments with you.
