Ebola has reached Mali, but our children are doing well and we have implemented special steps to keep them from being contaminated. October is back to school time in Mali. Our children commenced the new academic year with much enthusiasm. Their summer programs included both academic and skill building training. This summer’s academic program was built to give the children a head start on this academic year. Last year 85% of our children passed to the next grade level. This year our goal is to increase that performance.. Their summer skill building program included tailoring, woodwork, motorcycle mechanics and at home cooking.
Our work is only possible because of your generosity. Our next fund raising event will be held in Washington DC on 12 Nov 2014 from 6PM to 8 PM at Shaw’s Tavern at 520 Florida Ave. Washington DC 20001. Please continue to support ACFA’s projects, and allow us to continue our holistic program for the vulnerable children of Mali. Thank you for supporting our efforts towards attaining our vision.
