Dear Donor,
El Shaddai's programme to empower girls and women focuses on creating opportunities for education, personal development, safety, independence, and a better future. The programme supports girls and women from vulnerable backgrounds, helping them overcome barriers, build confidence, develop skills, and move towards a life of dignity and self-reliance.
During the reporting period, girls and women received safe accommodation, nutritious meals, education, healthcare, counselling, and individual care. We encourage girls to continue their education, understand their rights, develop life skills, and make positive and informed choices. Through sports, creative activities, mentoring, vocational training, and regular encouragement, they are given opportunities to discover their talents and strengthen their confidence. Young women are also supported in developing practical and vocational skills that can help them pursue further education, employment, and financial independence. El Shaddai works with caregivers, schools, communities, and support services to promote safety, wellbeing, and long-term development. Where appropriate, we also support safe family reunification and rehabilitation.
El Shaddai also works with caregivers, communities, schools, and appropriate support services to ensure that girls and women receive the protection, guidance, and opportunities they need. We encourage awareness of their rights, personal safety, health, and wellbeing, helping them understand that they have the right to live free from abuse, exploitation, discrimination, and fear. Through this work, El Shaddai aims to provide more than basic care. We seek to create opportunities for girls and women to learn, grow, develop their confidence, and build independent futures. Our aim is to ensure that every girl and woman we support knows her worth, understands her potential, and has the opportunity to create a safe, dignified, and hopeful future.
Empowering a girl is not only about supporting her today. It is about giving her the education, confidence, skills, and opportunities to shape her own future. When girls and women are empowered, they can make positive choices for themselves, contribute to their families and communities, and inspire others around them.
Our mission is to empower girls and women through safety, education, dignity, skills, and opportunities.
With gratitude,
The El Shaddai Family
