PROJECT REPORT
Help families affected by COVID-19 in the DR
This report is based on the implementation of our 2021 action plan and in response to people in solidarity and companies that have made cash or spice contributions so that we can continue to develop the vision of this project.
During the current year, face-to-face activity to hold large meetings with our beneficiaries has been difficult due to the situation generated by the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Little by little we have been reestablishing physical contact, but following all security protocols to protect the integrity of the beneficiary families.
Despite what has been described, we have carried out several valuable activities to support vulneral communities in the Dominican Republic. We have especially carried out donation operations, in addition to our usual talks on human values.
Here are the main ones:
1. DELIVERY OF CLOTHING, VITAMINED RICE AND WATER PURIFIERS IN BARAHONA
This activity was carried out thanks to the donations of various sponsors through which we took water purifiers to an area of the province of Barahona in which the shortage of this essential good for human life has been suffering.
The delivery of purifiers was accompanied by donations of nutritious food, such as vitaminized rice, as well as clothing and shoes.
2. Delivery of uniform and school supplies back to school 2021
The FUNJOCRIS Foundation delivered hundreds of backpacks and school supplies to children from the most disadvantaged sectors of the eastern part of the country.
During an event held in the municipality of Nizao, 400 backpacks were delivered that contained school utensils such as notebooks, pencils, support materials, among others.
We also carried out a tour of nearby communities' bateyes, where another 200 units of backpacks with school supplies were delivered.
We are delighted to have the opportunity to extend a helping hand to families with limited resources in the community prior to the start of the school year. This so that they can do it in a dignified way with the basic utensils to fulfill their assignments.
