Dear Donors,
Thank you for your interest in strengthening vegetable production in North Central Nigeria. Your concern highlights the urgent need to support farmers facing unstable harvests and limited access to quality inputs.
Across Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, and Plateau states, many smallholder farmers depend on rain-fed agriculture. Poor soil fertility, changing weather patterns, and limited access to improved seedlings reduce yields and income. Families struggle to maintain balanced diets, and seasonal hunger remains common. This project will provide improved fruit and vegetable seedlings such as tomatoes, peppers, okra, and watermelons. Farmers will also receive simple irrigation kits and hands-on training in modern cultivation and post-harvest handling. With year-round planting and better crop management, farmers can increase harvests and sell surplus produce in local markets.
At present, no donations have been received, and funding is required before seedlings and irrigation kits can be distributed. We kindly invite you to support or share this initiative so rural families can improve food production and income stability.
With sincere appreciation,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
