Good Afternoon everyone,
Firstly, thanks for donating to us in the past or stopping by to have a read.
We run 4 community projects which feed people who have no access to food across South London.
This is real. Our most recent survey found that 3/4 quarters of the people we feed have missed at least one entire day without a meal - You just couldnt believe this is happening in the UK, but it really is.
I wanted to tell you about Ben.
Ben visits our canteen every week. He is homeless now, but three years ago he was working as a marketing executive in the city. He had an accident and suffered a series of catastrophes leaving him with mental and physical disabilities. He lost his family and everything that he knew and finally his home. He told us that being able to 'fill his tank up with fuel' was the first step back into normality for him and thats why he comes back every week. And you helped make it a warm environment for him to return to.
It really just shows you that this can happen to anyone and we need your help to reduce this food inequaliy and balance the tables.
We are fundraising to open a Community Hub. From here we'll be able to provide food and advice everyday of the week, instead of just the 4 days we have access to a space. We've found the building and we've negotiated a price - Now we just need to cover the first few months costs before it will become self sustaining.
We've made a good start with your help so far, but we've some way to go and only 3 weeks to do it in. Please would you make a donation to our project and share this with people you know, collegues and family.
Together we can make a long and meaningful change in thousands of peoples lives.
