Across Eastern Uganda, vulnerable animals can suffer silently when their owners are unable to provide adequate food, clean water, shelter, or veterinary care. Behind every neglected animal is a life that depends entirely on human compassion and responsible care. Through Help, Feed & Save 100 Neglected Animals, Good Cause Foundation Uganda is working to give vulnerable animals a second chance. Our goal is to identify animals experiencing serious neglect and provide the support they need to survive and recover. This may include nutritious food, clean water, veterinary attention, treatment of illness or injury, temporary safe care, and follow-up support. For some animals, a small intervention can make a tremendous difference. A meal can restore strength. Treatment can relieve suffering. Clean water can prevent further health problems. A safe shelter can protect an animal from harsh weather and injury. Compassionate care can mean the difference between continued suffering and recovery. However, saving animals is not only about responding when a crisis occurs. We also want to help prevent neglect by working with animal owners and communities to promote responsible feeding, hygiene, shelter, preventive veterinary care, and humane treatment.
