ANIMAL RESCUE UPDATE!!!

Great News! We just rescued five black bears- Andy, Cindi, Brock, Bucky & Barney. They were retired from a traveling bear show. These bears have spent their lives performing and posing for photos- confined in chains and small spaces to provide "entertainment" for people.

Their habitat provides natural space to allow the bears a range of normal movement and behavior to promote psychological well-being. The habitat was formerly a tiger habitat that was modified to accommodate the five bears. We also added a swimming pool, shade platforms and hammocks.

All of the bears are adjusting quite well to their new home at Keepers of the Wild. Be sure to watch this video of their arrival and release into their habitat. We captured footage of this wonderful moment and want to share it with you.

As you know, food and care expenses of all rescued animals are an on-going expense and this fundraiser will remain active on GlobalGiving.

Again, we are so thankful for your continued support to provide the best for these deserving animals. We also know that we will be able to count on our donors and supporters to continue to trust us to provide life-long homes to the animals that are currently here. We thank you for continuing to believe in our mission.

Sincerely,

Nichole Walls
