At Keepers of the Wild, we hold our organization to the highest standards in regard to the health and mental wellbeing of the animals in our care. Proper nutrition and diet are key to keeping all 130 of our rescued residents happy and healthy--and it isn't cheap...

Approximately $45,000 has been our average monthly food budget for many years, something made possible only by the support of generous people like you. This substantial cost is due to providing the animals with individualized diets, offering only high-grade foods fit for human consumption including beef and poultry, and adding vitamins, minerals, and supplements as needed. Our general rule of thumb is that we never feed our animals something we wouldn't offer our human family members, so every donation you give, no matter how small, helps ensure the highest quality of life for the rest of their life.

In order to make every dollar stretch, we are always considering new ways to help save money without compromising the quality of care. This quarter, we found a solution we couldn't be happier to share with you: Keepers of the Wild has partnered with US Foods to help cut the cost of food expenses while further improving upon the diets. All food provided by US Foods is top-quality and served in restaurants across the united states. The ability to save on the monthly food budget allows for additional funding for projects such as the new on-site animal clinic we are in the process of opening--a huge win for the animals! Less stress and immediate medical care will make all the difference when an animal is in need.
