Thanks to you, we help refugees!

By Anna Janczyk-Zabrocka | Fundraiser

The type of help for the Ukrainian refugees is changing over time. Every day, we struggle with new challenges and we do not give in! We have been working, without any break, since 24th of March.

Our support programmes:

  • Rock for Ukraine: the weekly music therapy workshops for kids and teens-every Wednesday since July;
  • Wool for Ukraine: in July there was given 36 handcraft bags. The best slogan for this programme is "Wool-our therapist". We are getting craftworks from women cooperating with us. In September, we are going to the international handcraft fair in Germany;
  • Holidays Butterfly: the workshops for Polish and Ukrainian kids, which are keeping on Monday to Friday, during the whole holidays. Within this project kids were engaged in art-music workshops, STEAM education and dancing classes with "The Red Kalina". They also visited Astronomical Association "Polaris OPP" and a climbing wall.

Aid for Ukraine (Refugee Help Center) and Free Shop on Dworcowa 2a Street in Zywiec is open Monday to Friday. There are updating noticeboards with job and apartment offers and such like. We have also a terminal for people who want to prepare and print CV (our workers offer help, if it is needed). We give a hand with legalities mater like school and nursery admissions, PESEL (personal ID number) obtaining or with a translation.

As Zywiec Development Foundation we have hired 21 people from Ukraine.

There is an ability to buy a dinner for refugees in our café "Zabocie Stop" still. It is called "A Waiting Dinner". A giver buys it and a needer can take it. We have given 55 such dinners till now.

Thank you for your help!!!
