Our support for refugees keeps changing from month to month.
“Yesterday” we were distributing clothes and food; “today” we are employing women from Ukraine. They knit beautiful handmade items that we try to sell to cover their wages. They also organize activities for children — face painting, creative workshops, music lessons, and games. These are wonderful, creative initiatives, but the income doesn’t always allow us to provide even the legal minimum wage.
We continue to help with paperwork and provide food to those who are unable to work. We also run Polish language classes — for the women to get a job, they must pass an exam, which costs $180.
Please help us keep helping. Your donation will allow us to sustain jobs and continue offering support as needs change.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
